Jake Paul's return to the ring is just one day away, a fight in which he will face Andre August, the most experienced professional boxer he has faced in his career.
Although the bout, set for 8 rounds with a weight limit of 200 pounds, has not generated the interest of other fights involving 'The Problem Child', he considers it a crucial bout given his aspirations to be the world champion.
Jake Paul set to fight 'real boxer' Andre August: 'It's going to be a war'
So far, the 26-year-old fighter has mostly fought retired MMA stars or fellow YouTube stars. The only fighter he has faced previously is Tommy Fury, who defeated him last February.
And now it seems Paul is satisfied with the financial gains those fights have provided him, and he is ready to forgo the money in exchange for fighting a real professional boxer, The Sun notes.
"It's not about the money, it's about staying sharp and the experience of challenging myself in the ring with these guys; he's a beast," the YouTuber told TMZ Sports.
For his part, August, who has a record of 10-1 with 5 wins by knockout, comes in very hungry to beat Paul and wants to send him back to YouTube for good.
"When that bell rings, I will go straight at Jake Paul, ring his bell and send him back to YouTube for good," said 'Silverback'.
The fight will take place this Friday, December 15, the event will start at 7:30 pm. ET. The main event ring entrances are scheduled to begin at 10:30 p. m. ET.
You'll be able to tune in to the main event via DAZN PPV
