The World Cup of Beers: England fan, who's bought lager from all 32 countries competing in Qatar rev

England fans will have to fork out £12 for a pint of beer in Qatar but one supporter has splashed out £150 to get a taste of every nation.

Gus Hully has been busy collecting lager and ale from around the world since the summer in order to be ready for the World Cup.

The Cheltenham Town fan has brilliantly assembled a bevvy from every country competing at the tournament this winter.

In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT.com, Hully said: "I've only got one of each beer so I can't really be drinking it during each game.

"The plan is to drink it as soon as they get eliminated as a sort of toast to them to celebrate them competing in the competition.

"It's good that the Netherlands are back in it cause I can get a nice Dutch beer but any foreign beer is quite exciting.

"Ecuador, Argentina and Costa Rica - I mean, they're not great beers but they're just beers that you don't regularly get so it's always a nice treat to have."

Hully, who also completed the epic challenge in 2018, was able to horde European brews locally but for others he had to get creative.

The 35-year-old appealed to a network of well-travelled friends in Germany to transport Tunisian beer to circumvent post-Brexit rules.

Hully also took to social media to get help sourcing non-alcoholic 'Fizzin Melon' from World Cup hosts Qatar, while some others include 'Bavaria' from the Netherlands.

Yet Senegalese brand 'La Gazelle' presented the most unique of problems getting hold of.

Four years ago, Hully went to Paris himself to tick off the brew that represents Sadio Mane and co.

But this time he feared he was 'screwed' after he was warned no shops or restaurants among the Senegalese community in the French capital were still stocking the Pale Lager.

Yet Hully found the most unlikely of saviours in a Russian stranger holidaying in Senegal via 'social drinking' app Untapped.

He added: "I'd been checking in since July to see if anyone in Senegal could bring me one back.

"I had radio silence for about two months and then in late September, I messaged this guy who was on holiday in Dakar and had checked in with his beer.

"I messaged him and was like: 'Is there any chance you could bring me a beer back from holiday it would be amazing', and he messaged back straight away being like: 'Yeah sure, I live in Italy so that might be an issue.'

"He didn't really say anything for about two weeks but then flew back from holiday and was just like: 'Right, I'm ready to send your beer. Where do you want it?'

"My pal from Germany sent it over with Tunisia and Costa Rica and then they all turned up three at once and it was pretty good getting all those three potential difficult beers out the way at once."

Camden Hells got the prestigious nod of being the beer of choice Hully will use to support Gareth Southgate's Three Lions this year.

But asked whether he expects that to be the one he'll be drinking after the final, he replied: "I really want it to be England.

"It's probably going to be Antarctica from Brazil.

"The team's good, the form's good and I think the climate's going to suit them better than all the European teams.

"It's probably going to be Brazil, if not Argentina!"
