Coles customer scores lobster for $6

One lucky shopper has revealed they scored $126 worth of groceries – including seafood – for just $30.

The shopper took to popular Facebook group Markdown Addicts Australia to share their haul, which included a WA rock lobster, a Canadian lobster, garlic prawn skewers, blocks of cheese and salad bags.

Typically, WA rock lobsters retail for $27, with a special that cuts that price by $5 running currently.

But the Perth shopper revealed they were able to get the lobster for just $6.

“The mark down gods were looking after about five addicts stalking the mark down lady,” the shopper revealed.

“Plenty for all of us. My haul tonight full price $126 for $30.”

Many social media users were also impressed with the haul.

One social media user said: “They must chuck this stuff in WA as I never see this in our Coles or Woolies.”

“Wow! Really does make my local Coles seem miserable,” another added.

A third said: “Woohoo! The markdown gods be praised!!”

Bargain hunters are anticipating that items such as Easter eggs, as well as other fresh food, will be heavily discounted as many supermarkets around the country prepare to shut for Good Friday.
